Description

A quick and easy snack made with apples, perfect for the whole family. Crispy and flavorful, these apple fries are a healthier alternative to traditional fries.


Ingredients

  • 2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Prep your apples: Peel and cut the apples into fry-like sticks. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. Set up your coating stations: Bowl 1 for flour, Bowl 2 for whisked egg and milk, Bowl 3 for mixed breadcrumbs, sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. Coat the apple sticks in flour, then dip in the egg mixture, and finally roll in the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Air fry after lightly spraying the coated apple fries with nonstick cooking spray, placing them in a single layer in your air fryer basket.
  5. Cook at 380°F (190°C) for about 7–9 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  6. Serve warm with caramel dip, yogurt, or whipped cream.

Notes

Experiment by using different apple varieties or adding nuts and spices to elevate the flavor.
