Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 chai tea bags (or 2 teaspoons loose chai tea)
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 12 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional, adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon (optional, for garnish)
  • Cinnamon stick or apple slice (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small pot, combine the apple cider and water. Heat over medium until it starts to bring to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally for about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Once it’s simmering, toss in your chai tea bags (or loose chai). Let that steep for 3-5 minutes.
  3. After steeping, remove the tea bags or strain out the loose tea, then pour in the milk.
  4. If you like it sweet, stir in the honey or maple syrup.
  5. Heat gently until warmed through, avoiding boiling.
  6. Pour the Apple Chai Latte into your favorite mugs and garnish with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon or a cinnamon stick/apple slice.
