Ingredients
- Rice Paper Wrappers
- Lean Ground Beef or Turkey
- Lettuce Leaves (e.g., romaine or iceberg)
- Tomato, Diced
- Cheddar Cheese, Shredded
- Pickles, Sliced
- Onion, Finely Chopped
- Tangy Sauce (like Thousand Island Dressing)
- Optional: Sesame Seeds for Garnish
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add your lean ground beef or turkey. Season it with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
- Find a clean, flat surface to lay out your rice paper wrappers and have a shallow dish of warm water nearby.
- Take one rice paper wrapper and gently place it in the warm water for 10-15 seconds until pliable. Lay it flat on your clean surface.
- Start layering! Add cooked ground meat, lettuce leaf, diced tomato, shredded cheese, sliced pickles, and a pinch of onion.
- Drizzle a tablespoon of your tangy sauce on top.
- Fold in the sides of the wrapper, then roll tightly from the bottom up to enclose the filling.
- Repeat with the remaining wrappers and ingredients.
- Serve fresh, arranged on a plate with extra sauce on the side for dipping.
