Ingredients

  • 1 package of frozen croissant dough
  • 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup of unsalted butter
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • ½ cup of all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
  • Chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans) for topping (optional)
  • Ice cream or whipped cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt the unsalted butter and chocolate chips in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth. Let it cool slightly.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until creamy.
  3. Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture, stirring continuously.
  4. Fold in the flour and salt until just combined.
  5. Roll out the croissant dough into a large rectangle, approximately ¼ inch thick.
  6. Cut the dough into triangles, about 4 inches wide at the base.
  7. Place a tablespoon of brownie batter at the base of each triangle and gently roll from base to tip.
  8. Place the rolled croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
