Description

This quick and easy Burger Bowls recipe comes together in about 30 minutes and is made all in one pot for a hassle-free, comforting meal that your family will love!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano or mixed herbs
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 23 medium potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (divided)
  • 500 grams lean beef mince
  • Lettuce (shredded)
  • Cheese (dairy-free or regular)
  • Pickle slices
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon mustard (dijon or yellow)
  • 1 teaspoon pickle juice
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper to create the spice mix. Set aside.
  2. Wash and cut the potatoes into chips, pat them dry, and toss with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and half of the spice mix.
  3. Arrange the chips on a baking tray and cook in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) for 30–40 minutes or in an air fryer for about 20 minutes until golden and crispy.
  4. While the potatoes cook, heat the remaining olive oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat, add the beef mince, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Sprinkle in remaining spice mix.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle juice, garlic powder, and smoked paprika to create the burger sauce.
  6. Once potatoes are crispy, layer them in bowls with shredded lettuce, cooked beef, cheese, and pickle slices. Drizzle with burger sauce and serve.

Notes

Leftovers will last in the refrigerator for about 3-4 days. For reheating, microwave for 1-2 minutes or crisp potatoes in the oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 10 minutes. Freezing is also an option for the cooked beef, keeping for about 3 months.
