Description

These crunchy, sweet-tart candied cranberries are a delightful treat perfect for festive gatherings or as a sweet snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz fresh cranberries
  • 12 oz Sprite or 7Up soda
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 4 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Rinse the cranberries under cold water and pick out any blemished ones.
  2. Soak the cranberries in soda for at least an hour, or overnight for stronger flavor.
  3. Drain the cranberries, leaving them glossy and wet.
  4. Toss the cranberries in a zip-top bag with powdered sugar until well coated.
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lay the sugar-coated cranberries in a single layer. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  6. Bake for about 5 minutes, keeping an eye on them.
  7. Let them cool completely, allowing the powdered sugar to turn into a crunchy shell.

Notes

These candied cranberries are customizable. Feel free to experiment with different juices or sodas.
