Description

A delicious and versatile carrot hummus paired with flavorful zaatar pita chips, perfect for snacks and gatherings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups roasted carrots
  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 garlic clove
  • Salt to taste
  • Olive oil (for drizzling)
  • Pita bread
  • Zaatar spice

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine roasted carrots, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and salt. Blend until smooth, about 1-2 minutes.
  2. If too thick, drizzle in water while blending until desired consistency is reached.
  3. Pour into a serving bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
  4. Cut pita bread into triangles, brush lightly with olive oil, and sprinkle with zaatar spice.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and toast pita chips on a baking sheet for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Serve carrot hummus with zaatar pita chips as a snack or appetizer.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days. Hummus can be frozen for up to 3 months.
