Description

These easy Cheesy Breadsticks come together in about 20 minutes and are perfect for busy weeknights or a delicious side dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (plus extra for dusting)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (plus extra for brushing)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add in the cheeses and wet ingredients: Incorporate mozzarella, Parmesan, milk, and olive oil; mix until a dough forms.
  4. Roll it out: Transfer the dough to a floured surface and roll it into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
  5. Cut the dough into strips about 1 inch wide and 6 inches long.
  6. Prepare for baking by placing the strips on the baking sheet, leaving space between each stick.
  7. Add the flavor: Combine garlic powder, Italian herbs, and olive oil; brush over each breadstick.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Cool slightly before serving.
