- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup maraschino cherries, chopped
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Hershey’s Kisses, for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
- Gradually mix in the flour and salt until a soft dough forms.
- Stir in the chopped maraschino cherries and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Roll the dough into small balls (about the size of a tablespoon) and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie immediately after baking.
- Allow to cool on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
Store any leftover cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. They’re freezer-friendly and can last up to three months.
