Description

A quick and easy Chicken Avocado Melt Sandwich that combines shredded chicken, creamy avocado, and gooey cheese for a delightful weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 ripe avocado, mashed
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 4 slices of bread
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter for grilling

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken with the mashed avocado. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and butter one side of each slice of bread.
  3. On the unbuttered side of each slice, spread the chicken and avocado mixture evenly, then top with a generous amount of shredded cheese.
  4. Assemble the sandwich with another slice of bread on top, buttered side facing up.
  5. Grill each sandwich until golden brown on both sides and the cheese is melty, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Once grilled, slice in half and serve warm.
