A delicious and creamy Christmas Chai Latte made with aromatic spices, perfect for cozy winter days.
Ingredients

- 1 cup water
- 2 cups milk (or a plant-based alternative)
- 1 tablespoon black tea leaves (or 2 black tea bags)
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- A pinch of ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/4 teaspoon of the spice mix (saved for whipped cream)
Instructions
- Mix the spices in a small bowl and set aside 1/4 teaspoon for later use.
- In a saucepan, combine water, black tea, brown sugar, and remaining spice mix. Bring to medium heat and simmer.
- Once bubbling, lower the heat and stir in milk. Let steep for about 5 minutes.
- Strain the chai into mugs using a fine mesh strainer.
- Whip heavy cream with honey and reserved spice mix until soft peaks form.
- Top the chai latte with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg.
