Description

A quick and easy appetizer featuring layers of creamy brie and tart cranberries baked in a crusty bread, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 round artisan loaf of bread (sourdough or ciabatta preferred)
  • 1 cup of brie cheese, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup of fresh cranberries
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup of chopped pecans
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, melted
  • Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Carefully pull apart the round loaf of bread to create pockets without fully separating the pieces.
  3. In a bowl, toss together cranberries, brown sugar, chopped pecans, and cinnamon.
  4. Stuff the cranberry mixture and brie cheese into the pockets of the bread.
  5. Drizzle melted butter all over the loaf.
  6. Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden and crispy.
  8. Let cool for a minute, then serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

You can prepare the bread a few hours in advance and bake it just before serving. This bread is best enjoyed warm.
