Description

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup crumb topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until combined.
  3. Combine the wet ingredients: In another bowl, mix milk, vegetable oil, and egg until well combined.
  4. Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Prepare the cream cheese filling: Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  6. Assemble the muffins: Fill each muffin liner halfway with batter, add a dollop of cream cheese filling, then cover with more batter until ¾ full. Sprinkle crumb topping if desired.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Cool in the muffin tin for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
