Description
An incredibly delicious Crispy Hot Honey Shrimp recipe that comes together in about 30 minutes, perfect for a weeknight meal.

- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 tbsp hot sauce
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- Dredge the shrimp in the flour mixture until each shrimp is fully coated.
- Heat enough oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, about 1/2 inch deep.
- Fry the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together honey, hot sauce, and lemon juice.
- Once the shrimp are cooked, use a slotted spoon to remove them from the oil and drain on paper towels.
- Toss the hot shrimp in the honey mixture until well coated.
- Serve immediately as an appetizer or main dish.
Notes
These shrimp are best served fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for 2-3 days in the fridge. Reheat in the oven for extra crispiness.
