Description

This dalgona coffee revival recipe takes the viral whipped coffee trend to the next level with new flavors, healthier ingredients, and make-ahead options. Perfect fluffy coffee foam in just 5 minutes!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons instant coffee (quality matters!)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons hot water
  • 1 cup milk of choice (whole milk, almond, oat, etc.)
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: vanilla extract, cinnamon for dusting
  • For Healthier Version:
  • 12 tablespoons coconut sugar or maple syrup (instead of granulated sugar)
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (instead of regular milk)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: collagen powder for protein boost

Instructions

  • 1. Gather tools: You’ll need large bowl, electric hand mixer, and tall glasses for serving.
  • 2. Combine ingredients: In medium bowl, add instant coffee, sugar, and hot water in equal parts (2 tbsp each).
  • 3. Whip to perfection: Using electric mixer, whip mixture 3-5 minutes until it transforms to thick, fluffy, light-colored foam that holds stiff peaks.
  • 4. Prepare base: Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour cold milk, leaving room at top for coffee foam.
  • 5. Create the layers: Spoon whipped dalgona coffee on top of milk. Don’t stir yet – beauty is in the layers!
  • 6. Serve with style: Dust with cinnamon if desired, add straw or spoon, and enjoy mixing foam into milk.

Notes

Instant coffee is essential – regular coffee won’t whip. Equal ratios (1:1:1) of coffee, sugar, and water are crucial for proper texture. Whipped foam can be made ahead and stored in fridge up to 5 days.

For healthier version, coconut sugar and plant milk work well but may create slightly different texture.
