- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 cup soda water
- 1 tsp baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- 1 cup marshmallows (mini or regular)
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Whisk together until well blended. Gradually add in the soda water, stirring until you create a smooth batter.
- Heat the oil in a deep skillet or pot over medium heat until it reaches about 350°F.
- Dip each marshmallow into the batter, letting the excess drip off before sliding them into the hot oil.
- Fry the marshmallows in batches for about 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
- Carefully remove them with a slotted spoon and let them drain on a paper towel-lined plate. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve warm.
Notes
These marshmallows are best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in an oven or air fryer for best results.
