Description

A quick and fun dessert recipe that combines fluffy marshmallows with a crunchy fried coating, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 cup soda water
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 cup marshmallows (mini or regular)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Whisk together until well blended. Gradually add in the soda water, stirring until you create a smooth batter.
  2. Heat the oil in a deep skillet or pot over medium heat until it reaches about 350°F.
  3. Dip each marshmallow into the batter, letting the excess drip off before sliding them into the hot oil.
  4. Fry the marshmallows in batches for about 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Carefully remove them with a slotted spoon and let them drain on a paper towel-lined plate. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve warm.

Notes

These marshmallows are best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in an oven or air fryer for best results.
