Description

A comforting dish featuring fragrant garlic and fluffy rice, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups cooked white rice
  • 56 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat for 1-2 minutes until shimmering.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 2-3 minutes until golden brown and fragrant.
  3. Introduce the cooked white rice to the pan, breaking up any clumps and folding it into the garlic mixture.
  4. Continue to stir the rice occasionally for another 2-3 minutes for even flavor distribution.
  5. Sprinkle in the salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. Increase heat to medium-high and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally to develop crispy bits.
  7. Remove from heat, garnish with green onions if desired, and serve hot.

Notes

Use day-old rice for the best texture. This dish is versatile; feel free to add vegetables or proteins as desired.
