Description

A delicious and creamy flan that’s perfect for any occasion, adaptable to suit your tastes.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • A couple pinches of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium saucepan, heat 1 cup of sugar over medium heat, stirring frequently until it turns golden brown. Pour caramel into a round cake pan.
  3. In a blender, combine eggs, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract; blend until smooth.
  4. Pour the mixture over the caramel in the cake pan.
  5. Place the cake pan in a larger baking dish; fill the outer dish with water halfway up the cake pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes.
  6. Let it cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  7. Run a knife around the edge, invert onto a serving plate, and enjoy!

Notes

Best served chilled with fresh fruit or whipped cream. Can be made ahead and is freezer-friendly.
