- 1 cup sugar
- 6 large eggs
- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- A couple pinches of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium saucepan, heat 1 cup of sugar over medium heat, stirring frequently until it turns golden brown. Pour caramel into a round cake pan.
- In a blender, combine eggs, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract; blend until smooth.
- Pour the mixture over the caramel in the cake pan.
- Place the cake pan in a larger baking dish; fill the outer dish with water halfway up the cake pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes.
- Let it cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Run a knife around the edge, invert onto a serving plate, and enjoy!
Notes
Best served chilled with fresh fruit or whipped cream. Can be made ahead and is freezer-friendly.
