Description
An absolutely delicious Apple Tarte Tatin that comes together in about 45 minutes, perfect for impressing guests with minimal effort.

- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
- ¼ cup (60 g) salted butter
- ¼ cup (50 g) sugar
- 4 apples (around 600 g), peeled, cored, quartered
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
- Roll out the puff pastry lightly and trim to fit your pan, cutting 4 small slits in the middle.
- Melt the butter over medium heat in an oven-safe pan and add sugar, stirring gently until caramelized.
- Add the apples, flat side down, and cook for about 10 minutes before flipping and cooking for another 8-10 minutes until caramelized.
- Place the puff pastry over the apples, tucking the edges in.
- Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes until the crust is puffed and golden.
- Flip the tart immediately while hot onto a plate or rack.
- Cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving, optionally with ice cream.
Notes
This tart keeps well in the refrigerator for 3-4 days and can be reheated in a preheated oven. It’s also freezer-friendly for up to 2-3 months.
