Description

This decadent Gordon Ramsay Chocolate Fondant is rich, gooey, and perfect for a quick weeknight dessert that your family will adore.


Ingredients

  • 4 oz dark chocolate (70% cocoa), chopped
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, plus extra for greasing
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour, sifted
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Cocoa powder (for dusting ramekins)
  • Optional toppings: vanilla ice cream, powdered sugar, fresh berries, or chocolate shavings

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Grease your ramekins with extra butter and dust with cocoa powder.
  3. Melt the chocolate and butter together in a heatproof bowl over a double boiler or in the microwave.
  4. In a medium mixing bowl, beat the eggs, egg yolks, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract and salt.
  6. Fold in the melted chocolate mixture gently.
  7. Sift in the flour and fold it into the mixture carefully.
  8. Divide the batter into the ramekins, filling them about ¾ full.
  9. Bake for 12-14 minutes until the edges are firm but the center is slightly jiggly.
  10. Let cool for 1 minute, then invert onto a plate and serve warm.

Notes

Try adding espresso powder or orange zest for unique flavors. Serve with vanilla ice cream or fresh berries for an exquisite dessert experience.
