- 450g lean ground beef
- 30g butter
- 1 small yellow onion, diced
- 1 small green bell pepper, diced
- 230g brown mushrooms, minced
- 30g ketchup
- 240ml beef broth
- 225g provolone cheese, chopped or shredded
- 6 brioche hamburger buns
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the beef for about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, then set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter and sauté the onion and bell pepper for 3-4 minutes, then add the mushrooms and cook until browned, around 3 minutes.
- Mix ketchup and beef broth in a bowl, then pour it into the skillet with the veggies and simmer for 3-4 minutes until thickened.
- Return the beef to the skillet, combine, and stir in the provolone cheese until melted.
- Toast the brioche buns in a separate pan until golden brown.
- Fill each toasted bun with the cheesy beef mixture and serve warm.
