A quick and easy Greek Honey Cake that combines honey and warm spices for a delightful dessert.
Ingredients

- 1 cup honey
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the honey, Greek yogurt, and vegetable oil until well combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt, and whisk together.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- If using walnuts, fold them in at this point.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth out the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before removing from the pan and dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
Notes
Serve with a dollop of whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
