Description

A comforting deep pie filled with ground beef, sausage, pepperoni, and cheese, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ½ pound beef sausage
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: Pizza sauce
  • Optional: Shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese
  • Optional: Pie crust or pizza dough

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and beef sausage together until browned. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
  4. Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Add the pepperoni slices and cook for 1–2 minutes.
  6. Line your deep pie dish with crust (if using). Spoon the meat mixture into the crust, top with pizza sauce and cheese, and cover with a second crust if desired.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Let the pie rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a flakier crust, use cold butter. For gluten-free, use gluten-free pizza dough.
