Description

This quick and easy Hibachi Steak comes together in about 30 minutes all in one skillet! Perfect for a weeknight dinner that your family will love!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and a couple pinches of salt and pepper. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Marinate the Steak: Place the steak in a zip-top bag, pour the marinade over it, seal the bag, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat the Skillet: Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Cook the Steak: Remove the steak from the marinade and place it in the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until it reaches desired doneness.
  5. Baste with Butter: Add the butter to the skillet and baste the steak with the melted butter until cooked to medium-rare at 135°F.
  6. Rest and Slice: Remove the steak from the skillet, let it rest for 5 minutes, then slice against the grain.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped green onions on top and serve.
