This quick and easy Hibachi Steak comes together in about 30 minutes all in one skillet! Perfect for a weeknight dinner that your family will love!
Ingredients

- 1 pound steak (sirloin or ribeye)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and a couple pinches of salt and pepper. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
- Marinate the Steak: Place the steak in a zip-top bag, pour the marinade over it, seal the bag, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat the Skillet: Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes.
- Cook the Steak: Remove the steak from the marinade and place it in the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until it reaches desired doneness.
- Baste with Butter: Add the butter to the skillet and baste the steak with the melted butter until cooked to medium-rare at 135°F.
- Rest and Slice: Remove the steak from the skillet, let it rest for 5 minutes, then slice against the grain.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped green onions on top and serve.
