Description

This easy Homemade Vanilla Extract comes together in about 5 minutes, a fantastic addition to your baking that enhances flavors.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 57 high-quality vanilla beans
  • 1 cup vodka (or bourbon)
  • Optional: cinnamon sticks or cloves

Instructions

  1. Slice the vanilla beans down the middle to expose the seeds.
  2. Place the split beans in a clean glass jar.
  3. Add vodka over the beans until completely submerged.
  4. Seal the jar tightly and shake gently.
  5. Store in a cool, dark place for at least 2 months, shaking every couple of weeks.
  6. Use once flavors have developed.
