Ingredients

  • 1 cup honey BBQ sauce
  • 2 cups chicken broth

  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Season the chicken with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the seasoned chicken to the skillet and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Pour in honey BBQ sauce and chicken broth, then stir in rice.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. Check to ensure the rice has absorbed the liquid and the chicken is cooked through; fluff rice with a fork.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve.
