Description
A quick and easy one-pan Honey Glazed Chicken recipe that comes together in about 30 minutes, perfect for weeknight dinners.

- 450g chicken breast or thighs, cut into strips
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon vegetable or olive oil
- 60ml soy sauce
- 60ml honey or brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon of water
Instructions
- Season the chicken strips with a couple pinches of salt and pepper.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Toss in the chicken pieces and cook for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove the chicken and set it aside, keeping the skillet on the heat.
- Add the soy sauce, honey, vinegar, garlic, and ginger to the skillet and bring it to a simmer, stirring occasionally for about 4-5 minutes.
- Whisk in the cornstarch mixture and cook until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and coat well with the sauce. Cook for another 3-5 minutes until heated through.
- Serve with a sprinkle of sesame seeds or green onions.
Notes
This dish pairs well with rice or mashed potatoes and can be easily customized with various vegetables.
