Description

A delicious and quick dip made with eggs, cheese, and bacon, perfect for gatherings or family nights.


Ingredients

  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices cooked bacon (crumbled)
  • 2 green onions (finely chopped)
  • Crackers, chips, or toasted bread slices for serving

Instructions

  1. Place the eggs in a saucepan, cover with cold water, and bring to a boil.
  2. Once boiling, turn off the heat, cover, and let the eggs sit for 10-12 minutes.
  3. Drain and cool the eggs under cold water, then peel and chop them.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, hot sauce, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well blended.
  5. Add the chopped eggs to the mixture and coat well.
  6. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese and half of the crumbled bacon.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and spread the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  8. Bake uncovered for about 15-20 minutes until hot and bubbly.
  9. Garnish with remaining bacon, chopped green onions, and paprika before serving warm.

Notes

This dip is customizable; feel free to add leftover ham or veggies. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days.
