Description

This incredibly easy Korean Pork Belly comes together in about 45 minutes and is roasted to perfection for a quick and satisfying weeknight meal.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs pork belly
  • 2 tablespoons gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine gochugaru, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and a couple pinches of salt and pepper, whisking until well combined.
  3. Score the skin of the pork belly in a crisscross pattern and rub the marinade all over the pork.
  4. Place the pork belly on a baking tray lined with foil and roast for 45 minutes, basting halfway through.
  5. Let the pork rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  6. Serve sliced, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
