Description

The lemon balm drink for weight loss is a simple, soothing, and refreshing beverage that holds a special place in my heart. I first discovered it when I was looking for a way to support my weight loss journey, something that felt comforting and gentle. As a busy mom, finding time to care for myself often felt like a luxury, but this drink offered me a way to nurture both my body and soul without feeling overwhelmed.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tbsp dried lemon balm leaves (or 23 tbsp fresh lemon balm leaves)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 tsp honey (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1 slice lemon (for an extra burst of citrus)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the lemon balm: If you’re using fresh lemon balm leaves, gently crush them to release the oils and flavor. If you’re using dried leaves, skip this step.
  2. Boil the water: Bring a cup of water to a boil, then put it over the lemon balm leaves in a teapot or mug.
  3. Let it steep: Cover the tea and let it steep for about 5-7 minutes. The longer it steeps, the stronger the flavor will be.
  4. Sweeten to taste: Once your tea has steeped, add a teaspoon of honey or sweetener of your choice. Stir gently.
  5. Garnish and enjoy: For an extra burst of flavor, add a slice of fresh lemon to your tea. You can even add a pinch of blue salt trick recipe to give your drink a mineral boost and balance out the sweetness.

Notes

You can substitute the honey with stevia or maple syrup if you prefer a different natural sweetener.

Fresh lemon balm works best, but dried lemon balm is a great alternative if you don’t have access to fresh herbs.

If you prefer a cold drink, you can let it cool down and serve it over ice for a refreshing iced version.
