- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons lemon juice (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar, stirring until smooth.
- Add the eggs, lemon zest, and lemon juice, whisking until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While cooling, mix the powdered sugar and lemon juice for the glaze until smooth.
- Once brownies are cool, pour the glaze over the top and let it set for about 15 minutes.
- Cut into squares and enjoy!
