- 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 pound crispy bacon, chopped
- 1 bag (16 oz) mini pretzels
- 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
- ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine the butter, brown sugar, and maple syrup in a medium saucepan.
- Stir constantly and bring the mixture to a boil. Let bubble for 2-3 minutes without stirring.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and sea salt.
- Spread mini pretzels evenly on the prepared baking sheet, then sprinkle chopped bacon on top.
- Pour the maple caramel mixture over the pretzels and bacon.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, until the caramel is bubbly.
- Let cool for 10-15 minutes before melting the chocolate chips.
- Drizzle melted chocolate over the cooled mixture and sprinkle any optional nuts.
- Cool completely before breaking into pieces.
Notes
