Description

Quick and easy Maple Mustard Croissant Breakfast Sandwiches that your family will love!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 flaky croissants
  • 2 tablespoons real maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard (Dijon or yellow)
  • 4 eggs
  • Cheese (cheddar, Swiss, gouda, or pepper jack)
  • Bacon or sausage (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a medium bowl, crack the eggs and whisk with salt and pepper until frothy.
  3. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring until scrambled to desired consistency.
  4. If using, add bacon or sausage to the skillet and cook until crispy (5-6 minutes).
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup and mustard.
  6. Slice and lightly toast the croissants.
  7. Spread the maple mustard mixture on the bottom half of each croissant, then layer on scrambled eggs, cheese, and bacon or sausage (if using).
  8. Top with the other half of the croissant and serve hot.
