Description

This naturally sweet Medjool date caramel sauce is the ultimate comfort recipe—smooth, creamy, and made with just a handful of whole ingredients. Perfect for drizzling, dipping, or sneaking by the spoonful. A healthy treat for families and mindful eaters alike.

Ingredients

– 1 cup pitted Medjool dates (about 10 dates)

– 1/2 cup warm water (or warm milk for a creamier version)

– 1 tsp vanilla extract

– 1/8 tsp sea salt

– Optional: 1/4 tsp cinnamon or 1 tbsp nut butter for extra richness

Instructions

1. Soak the pitted Medjool dates in warm water for 5 minutes (especially if they feel dry or firm).

2. Add the dates, soaking liquid, vanilla extract, salt, and any extras to a high-speed blender.

3. Blend until completely smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides if needed.

4. Taste and adjust: add more salt for contrast, or cinnamon for warmth.

5. Transfer to a glass jar. Store refrigerated for up to 10 days.

Notes

This sauce thickens in the fridge. For a pourable consistency, warm gently or stir in a little water.

Great as a topping for oatmeal, yogurt, pancakes, or fruit.

Can be frozen in small portions for up to 3 months.

Vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, refined sugar-free.
