Ingredients

  • 500g Bread Flour
  • 300g Water
  • 100g Sourdough Starter
  • 10g Salt

Instructions

  1. Mix the bread flour and water in a large bowl until just combined.
  2. Add the sourdough starter and salt, then knead the dough until smooth and elastic (about 5-10 minutes).
  3. Let it rest covered for about 4 hours, folding every 30 minutes for the first hour.
  4. Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it in a floured proofing basket.
  5. Let it rise for 2 hours at room temperature.
  6. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C) with a Dutch oven inside.
  7. Bake the dough in the preheated Dutch oven for 30 minutes. Remove the lid and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes.
  8. Cool before slicing.
