Description

This flavorful Moe’s Seasoned Rice Recipe comes together in about 20 minutes and is made all in one pot, making it a quick and easy weeknight meal that your family will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup jasmine or basmati rice, rinsed
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon chicken or vegetable stock powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water in a fine-mesh strainer until the water runs clear.
  2. In a medium pot, add the rinsed rice, 2 cups of water, and chicken stock powder. Stir in the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and parsley.
  3. Heat the mixture over medium-high heat until it begins to boil.
  4. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot tightly, and let it simmer for 13 minutes.
  5. Once done, remove from heat and add the butter. Gently fluff the rice as the butter melts.
  6. Cover the pot again and let it sit for 3 minutes.
  7. Fluff again and garnish with extra parsley if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

Avoid stirring too much while cooking to keep the rice fluffy.
