Description

This easy mustard chicken comes together in about 30 minutes and is cooked all in one pan for a quick and delicious weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons whole grain mustard
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Rice or vegetables (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat up the pan: Grab a large skillet and heat about a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with a couple pinches of salt and pepper.
  3. Cook the chicken in the hot pan for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken and let it rest.
  4. Make the sauce by combining the mustard and cream in a bowl, stirring until mixed well.
  5. Add the mustard mixture to the same pan, scraping up any bits from the bottom. Bring to a simmer.
  6. Return the chicken to the pan, cooking everything together until the sauce is warm.
  7. Serve the chicken plated with the sauce drizzled on top, optionally with rice or vegetables.
