A comforting side dish featuring sweet onions baked with butter and herbs, perfect for family dinners and easy cleanup.
Ingredients

- 6 medium to small size sweet onions
- 1 stick of salted butter (8 tablespoons)
- Garlic Salt (to taste)
- Onion Powder (to taste)
- Black Pepper (to taste)
- Dried Parsley (to taste)
- Cajun Seasoning (to taste)
- Paprika (to taste)
- 6 to 8 cloves of garlic
- Soy sauce (to taste)
Instructions
- Cut off the tops and ends of the onions and peel the outer layers.
- Hollow out the center of each onion, leaving a sturdy base.
- Slice the butter into small cubes and place hollowed onions in a baking dish.
- Season onions generously and press 2 to 3 butter cubes into each onion.
- Melt remaining butter and season with spices, then pour over each onion.
- Add garlic cloves to the bottom of the baking dish and drizzle with soy sauce.
- Cover with foil and bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until soft and golden.
- Once done, drizzle additional butter sauce over the top and serve with roasted garlic.
Notes
Can be customized with additional spices or cheese on top. Great as a side dish or appetizer.
