Ingredients

  • 8 cups Crispix cereal
  • 2 cups pecan halves (salted)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine Crispix cereal and pecan halves, mixing gently.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, corn syrup, and butter, stirring until combined and bubbling.
  4. Allow to boil for 1 minute without stirring, then remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Drizzle the caramel mixture over the cereal and pecans, ensuring an even coating.
  6. Spread the mixture evenly onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  8. Let cool completely before breaking into pieces.
