Description

A vibrant and flavorful Puerto Rican Chicken that comes together in about 50 minutes, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 pounds of drumsticks
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • 1 packet of Sazon seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons of sofrito (optional)
  • Olive oil (for drizzling)
  • Vegetables (such as bell peppers, onions, or sweet potatoes, optional)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken: In a big bowl, toss the chicken drumsticks with garlic powder, oregano, salt, pepper, Sazon, and sofrito. Cover and let it marinate for at least 2 hours.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Arrange the marinated chicken on a baking tray, adding any veggies if desired.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes, then flip the chicken and bake for another 20 minutes.
  5. Crank up the heat to 400°F and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes for a crispy finish.
  6. Serve alongside your favorite sides and enjoy!
