An incredibly savory rice cooker chicken porridge that’s quick and easy to make, perfect for a cozy weeknight dinner.

- 1 cup jasmine rice
- 6 cups chicken broth or water
- 1 chicken breast, cooked and shredded
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Soy sauce and sesame oil for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the rice underneath cold water until the water runs clear.
- Combine the rinsed rice with the chicken broth, minced ginger, and shredded chicken in your rice cooker.
- Close the lid and select the porridge setting.
- Cook until the rice is soft and creamy.
- Stir in the green onions, and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve with soy sauce and sesame oil if desired.
Notes
This dish can be customized with various meats and vegetables. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to three days and are freezer friendly.
