Description

A quick and easy meal that combines creamy crab filling with crispy rice paper wrappers, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • Rice paper wrappers
  • Fresh crab meat (or canned crab, chicken, or tofu)
  • Cream cheese
  • Chopped green onions
  • Garlic powder
  • Soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or peanut)

Instructions

  1. Mix together fresh crab meat, cream cheese, chopped green onions, garlic powder, soy sauce, and salt and pepper in a large bowl.
  2. Soak the rice paper wrappers in warm water until soft and pliable.
  3. Fill each wrapper with a tablespoon of the crab mixture, fold the sides over, and roll tightly.
  4. Fry in a frying pan with enough oil over medium heat until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. Drain on paper towels and serve warm.

Notes

These rangoons can be customized with different proteins or vegetables. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
