Description

A rich and creamy buttercream that’s quick to prepare and perfect for cakes, cupcakes, or as a fruit dip.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • 23 tbsp cocoa powder (optional)
  • 12 tbsp instant coffee or espresso powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and sweetened condensed milk. Beat on medium speed for 5-7 minutes until fluffy and light, scraping down the sides occasionally.
  2. If desired, add optional flavorings like vanilla extract or cocoa powder and mix on low speed for another minute.
  3. Use the buttercream immediately or store it in an airtight container in the fridge. Before using, whip it again for one minute to restore its fluffiness.
  4. Spread generously over cakes or cupcakes, or use as a dip for fresh fruits.

Notes

Can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or frozen for up to 3 months. Allow to thaw in the fridge before re-whipping.
