- 2 cups long-grain white rice
- 4 cups water or broth
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Fresh herbs (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
- Add the rice, 1 teaspoon salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and olive oil to the boiling water.
- Stir the mixture, reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for about 18-20 minutes until the water is absorbed.
- Remove from heat and fluff the rice with a fork.
- Stir in fresh herbs (if using) and serve.
