Description

This delicious Quick and Easy Shirred Eggs recipe is baked in one ramekin and ready in just 15 minutes, making it a perfect family breakfast.


Ingredients

  • 1/4 teaspoon unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons heavy cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh chives (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (or any cheese of your choice)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Grease a 6-ounce ramekin with unsalted butter.
  3. Pour the heavy cream into the bottom of the greased ramekin.
  4. Gently crack the eggs on top of the cream.
  5. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  6. Sprinkle the minced chives and grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
  7. Place the ramekin on a baking sheet and carefully pop it in the oven.
  8. Bake until the egg whites are set but the yolks are still runny, about 12 to 15 minutes.
  9. Let the ramekin cool for a minute before serving.
