Instructions
- Mix together the sourdough starter, warm milk, sugar, melted butter, and salt until well combined.
- Add flour and baking soda gradually until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough to 1 inch thick and cut out muffins using a biscuit cutter.
- Transfer to a baking sheet dusted with cornmeal.
- Let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Cook muffins for 6-8 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
