Description

This delicious Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice Appetizer is a quick and easy crowd-pleaser that your family will love!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups Sushi Rice
  • 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar
  • Salt (to taste)
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 Avocado, sliced
  • 8 oz Ahi Tuna, diced
  • 3 tbsp Mayo
  • 2 tbsp Sriracha
  • 1 Jalapeño, sliced
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Seeds
  • 2 Green Onions, chopped
  • Oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Cook the sushi rice according to the package instructions, about 15-20 minutes. Mix in rice vinegar and salt after cooking.
  2. Cool the rice by spreading it out in a dish; chill if necessary for firmer texture.
  3. Cut the cooled rice into rectangles, approximately 2 inches by 1 inch.
  4. Fry the rice rectangles in heated oil over medium heat for about 3-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Prepare the Ahi tuna mix by combining diced tuna, mayo, sriracha, and soy sauce in a bowl.
  6. Top each crispy rice piece with a spoonful of the spicy tuna mix.
  7. Garnish with a slice of avocado and jalapeño on each piece.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
