- 1 package of puff pastry
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon milk (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into heart shapes.
- In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each heart shape and top with sliced strawberries.
- Fold the edges of the pastry over to create a border.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and milk for the egg wash, then brush it over the pastries.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
