Description

Homemade version of Taco Bell’s Nacho Fries, quick and perfect for weeknight meals, customizable with toppings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 2 teaspoons Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper (Optional)
  • 16 slices American Cheese
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1 tablespoon Liquid from the Jar of Jalapeño Slices
  • 1 pound Ore-Ida Extra Crispy Frozen Fast Food Fries
  • Vegetable Oil for Frying

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix salt, paprika, garlic powder, chili powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper until well combined.
  2. Fill a heavy-bottomed saucepan with vegetable oil and heat to 350°F (180°C).
  3. Fry the frozen fries for about 6 to 8 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  4. Melt cheese slices in a microwave-safe bowl with milk and jalapeño juice in intervals until creamy.
  5. Toss the fries with the seasoning mixture in a large bowl until coated.
  6. Serve with cheese sauce and optional jalapeño slices on top.

Notes

Customize toppings like sour cream or guacamole. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
