- 3 medium sweet onions (such as Vidalia, peeled and sliced into ¼-inch rings)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Arrange the sliced onions evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- Drizzle the melted butter over the onions and season with garlic powder, paprika, oregano (if using), salt, and pepper. Gently toss to coat.
- Evenly scatter the cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan over the top of the layered onions.
- Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown. Optionally, broil for a minute for an extra crispy top.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
